  • Who do you think you are blackmailing me with your episode for MY series? If it's finished, post it. No more blackmailing, Finn.

  • I figured out how I can make multi-person messages AND how to make it so that we don't have to insert the codes every single time!!

  • Would you like to write for my new series New Adventures of Doctor Who. Turtlecake365 is also writing for it.

  • Why did you leave?

  • Having crashed the TARDIS, the newly-regenerated Thirteenth Doctor lies unconscious in the woods for decades. An ancient evil soon awakens, one that seeks to use both the TARDIS and the Doctor's body for a wicked purpose. With the Doctor's fate in the hands of those around him, a chain of events are about to unfold that will change the Time Lord's destiny and the very universe forevermore.

    • Again, this is a rough synopsis; I'm not a huge fan of the ending, nor do I like the "fate in the hands of those around him" bit; that was put in because I still have no ideas for a time period in which this could take place, nor do I have any ideas for side-characters, so I had to keep things vague…

      • That said, the side protagonists in the episode (who may or may not make appearances in the finale) are the ones who find the Doctor and care for him while he's unconscious.
      • Any ideas for the "ancient evil?" I'm thinking it could either be a Time Lord (Turtlecake and I decided we didn't like this idea on the IRC…), Dalek(s), or Cyberman/men…For what purpose could this foe need the Doctor and TARDIS? Keep in mind that somehow the Doctor needs to find a clue to Gallifrey's location that sets him off on his epic quest...
      • I'm feeling Victorian London-era Earth for this episode, since I want things dark and mysterious (thus alien to viewers), yet familiar. I do not, however, want a London-set story, as I feel that has gotten cliché, thanks to introductory episodes like Deep Breath. Thoughts on alternative locations?
      • As of 1:44 AM EST, I had the idea that maybe we could use the Vashta Nerada? I'd like a physical enemy, but think…a dark forest is a primary setting, so plenty of "shadow opportunities." Maybe the Vashta Nerada want a physical form, seek the Doctor's body, and aim to escape with it in the TARDIS to consume the denizens of other worlds in darkness? Maybe the clue to Gallifrey could be the skeletal remains of a Time Lord...

    • Building off the Vashta Nerada idea:

      • A family who lives in a log cabin in a deep, dark forest rescues and cares for the Doctor while he's unconscious. He protects this family from the Vashta Nerada as payment, not because he cares about them (or so he says).
      • After the Vashta Nerada threat passes, the Doctor has a moment with the family's eldest daughter, who asks to travel with him. The Doctor tells her no, and she asks him if he'll be lonely. The Doctor then motions to the TARDIS, fully repaired with a new interior design, saying that it is the only companion he'll ever need. The daughter is saddened by this, but the Doctor, being a charmer and gentleman in this incarnation, as well as a little lustful, draws her in for a passionate kiss before departing.

I had some ideas, but research so far seems to be proving them impossible:

      • The episode could take place in Victorian France. I want a "The Snowmen" feel to this episode, but I do not want something in London because it's cliché. I was looking at old architecture, such as Notre Dame Cathedral, and had the idea that maybe the Doctor could face off against a series of skeletons possessed by the Vashta Nerada as they scale the building.
        • At the same time, I wonder if such a building was even built in this time period, how the dead were handled, and whether or not using the Vashta Nerada and having them reanimate the dead in a time period like this would be too repetitive, given The Snowmen, Deep Breath, Dark Water, and Death in Heaven

This episode needs to do the following, no matter what:

      • Set the Doctor off on his quest to find Gallifrey, no matter what (I was thinking that he finds the remains of a Vashta Nerada victim and finds a medal or something with Gallifreyan writing on it amidst the skeletal remains).
      • Establish the Doctor as a flawed, unstable man who is darker, meaner, and more unreliable than his past incarnations.

Any help building a skeleton for the episode and fixing the various issues would be greatly appreciated :) As my producer, you have just as much a right to come up with ideas as I do. If you have any suggestions, do let me know! Perhaps we could chat on an IRC channel about all this!

  • If we could at some point tomorrow, maybe on the IRC (I'll set up a channel and message you when I do, if I happen to see you and Turtlecake on at the same time), I have some major ideas for changes to my Doctor Who series I would like to discuss with you.

  • We should meet on chat tomorrow; I have some things regarding Series 11 I'd like to discuss with you and Turtlecake. I want to get at least one of my projects under way before the summer ends!

I can easily communicate on two different chat windows. IRC could be used to good effect and if you want the beep sound out then just press mute on your computer, that may be the simple solution if we do ever consider the idea.

Perhaps do not get angry with one another just friendly conversation is the best way for views to get across and be agreed upon. It can be quite annoying to continually check the chat window when I am on another tab or even writing. Today I forgot about chat due to writing which explains why I suddenly went silent, a sound may have helped this. I'm sure all this could be discussed on another thread and if it could work would probably be best to get JPhil's opinion as he is brilliant at this very sort of thing.

We really do need to be on at the same time as we seem to constantly miss each other or one of us often forgets about the chat tab which is very easy to do.

But this falls back on my original point: Sometimes I'm watching something while on chat.

The beeping will make it impossible to watch anything. You say to mute the sound. If I mute the sound, then I won't hear whatever I'm watching.

EDIT: HOLD ON. There was a thing 2 years ago when I was on a Inazuma Eleven wiki, someone linked to a place on the comunity central, and you do something there, which will kind of mod the chat, making it so that you will be beeped if your name is written, and only you would be hearing that beep. If only I could find that...

Yatalu told me he has done that, so he might be able to help. As a reply to Turtle and TTL, I would easily be able to stay on two chats as well. It would be a good place to talk for us about the projects! :)
