Three Thousand and Eighty Four is the second of six Twelfth Doctor novels, following The Trial of the Doctor. It is the first of the novels to feature Billy O'Hara.

In the future, mankind is controlled by a central figure, known as the Supreme Authority. In this dystopian world the Doctor and Billy are not welcome, and they soon find themselves pursued by the forces of the Supreme Authority.
